Ms Gauri Arora is the private sector specialist for the United Nations Resident Coordinator's office in India. As part of this portfolio, she leads several strategic business-SDG initiatives including the United Nations India Business Forum. The Forum is a unique alliance of India's key economic players, aimed at accelerating progress towards Agenda 2030 through scalable solutions and high-impact partnerships. Prior to this assignment at the United Nations, Gauri was the lead for Corporate Citizenship at Microsoft where she managed the Environment Sustainability and Accessibility charters for the India subsidiary.
In a career spanning about 26 years in the corporate sector, Gauri has built and managed profitable businesses; played the role of a business enabler in a tough government regulatory situation; handled crisis communications due to the sudden demise of a leader; been the spokesperson for a large community program; and effected successful internal and external brand communications during an acquisition. Gauri is personally very passionate about accessibility and sustainability and also volunteers for several community initiatives in these areas from time to time.
